Sports for Development and Social Change Initiative.

The Sports for Development and Social Change Initiative harnesses the power of sports to promote health, leadership, life skills and social cohesion among young people. Implemented in 40 schools across Migori County, the initiative uses sports as a transformative platform to address key social and health challenges, including HIV prevention, mental health, sexual and reproductive health and substance abuse.

Through school sports clubs, inter-school tournaments, leadership development and health awareness campaigns, the project fosters teamwork, discipline, resilience and positive youth engagement. By creating safe and inclusive spaces for learning and participation, the initiative empowers young people to become healthy, confident and responsible leaders who contribute to peaceful, inclusive and resilient communities.
